Description
More than a theory, the Practicing Theology (PT) model is an intentional approach to perceive and participate in God’s redemptive work in the world. This essential concept is at the heart of the Practicing Theology Certificate and is the foundation on which we will construct our spiritual understanding.
PT is our toolkit for crafting our spiritual maps through which we learn to discern, chart our course, and act. This process provides steps to ensure we remain in line with God’s grand narrative. These steps include observation, theological reflection, kingdom trajectory, and faithful action.
In this certificate, you will dive deeper into each step to increase your ability to connect your theology to your daily life. You will learn how to live out your faith in deeper ways by exploring the roles of discipleship, curiosity, play and wonder, leadership, and more. These principles are intended to guide you on your spiritual odyssey.
Upon completion, you will receive a certificate in Practicing Theology, which will further enhance your ministry impact.
This certificate has been reviewed and approved to be currently eligible for Credit for Prior Learning (CPL), able to count for up to 4 units towards a master’s degree at Fuller Seminary. CPL is awarded by Fuller Seminary on a case-by-case basis based on admission to the Seminary and the acceptability of their completed portfolio. Visit the Fuller Theological Seminary website for more information about the admissions process and our various degree programs.
