Description

Today’s world is ripe for the integration of the arts in God’s mission. Many people seek meaning and hope, but feel disconnected from traditional religion. As a Christian artist, you have the opportunity to create a space for bridge-building dialogue and emotional connection. Through your creative expression, you can share the gospel and meet the needs of your community–while learning in community! In this Gospel & Community Arts Cohort, you will discover your gifts and how to use them in creative witness and explore the intersection of creativity, faith, and mission. You’ll explore how the arts are an integral part of God’s work in the world, examine the role of the five senses in experiencing the gospel, and reflect on the power of socially engaged art. You will examine how community art can spark works of justice in the communities we are called to serve.

You will learn to use a biblically based four-part framework for faithful creators, laying a foundation for using creativity in mission. Using this framework, the cohort experience culminates in designing your own creative project that reflects your unique gifts, integrates your faith, and responds to the needs of your community. Join Jason Leith and a likeminded Christian artistic community to harness your creativity for meaningful impact and illuminate the path for others seeking hope.
