About This Course

In an age flooded with information and overwhelmed by noise surrounding politics, social issues, and a fast-paced culture, what we need most is not more knowledge, but wisdom. Knowledge can tell us how things work. Wisdom helps us see how to live well. In the pressures and polarizations of our time, wisdom is the compass we desperately need.

In Faithful Leadership: Facing Today’s Toughest Issues with Biblical Balance, you will learn to effectively position yourself as an agent of transformational change, and learn to live out the call to influence your context with the vision and values of the kingdom of God. You will understand how to maintain your first allegiance to God’s kingdom, reflect the heart of Jesus, discern the Spirit’s leading, and speak with language shaped by the kingdom. Through exploring real-world case study examples—like a pastor facing the community impact of a school shooting, addressing police brutality and injustices against minorities, discussing abortion—you will learn how to bring your faith into dialogue with today’s toughest issues. Using a biblically balanced framework, you will develop practical strategies to begin to bridge the political and cultural divides American Christians currently face.

What You Will Learn:

  • Articulate how the kingdom of God shapes relationships, leadership, communication, and everyday life.
  • Engage in thoughtful and compassionate conversations with diverse communities that foster understanding and unity by applying kingdom principles.
  • Develop practical strategies to bridge divides and restore relationships through biblical principles of reconciliation.
