You were formed to be free. Not just for yourself, but for the flourishing of your community and all of God’s beloved creation.
Formed to Be Free is a course designed to equip you—a disciple, a leader, a believer—with the wisdom and practices to live out a faith that is liberating and grounded in hope.
Rooted in the distinct legacy of Black faith and resistance, this course empowers you and the churches you lead to practice a fresh discipleship that fosters a healthier, culturally wise faith and leads to social transformation. As you engage deeply with theology, history, and the urgent realities of racism, white supremacy, and church dynamics, you’ll gain practical tools to disciple others and lead change with conviction and compassion.
This is more than a course. It’s a path toward becoming who you and your church were always meant to be—followers of Jesus who embody justice, freedom, and love in every part of life.
Join Dr. Jemar Tisby, a New York Times bestselling author, historian, and the founder and creative director of Tisby Media, to learn how God has formed you to be free, and how Christian discipleship can become more rich, grounded, and equipped to address today’s challenges.
