About This Course

A church plant is a dynamic, living organism that requires the planter to lead with agility through the five developmental stages of a church plant, from birth through reproduction. In this 5 Seasons of a Church Plant course, you’ll learn to identify the contextual realities that will shape your plant’s mission, vision, and values. These include financial realities, geophysical location, the unique needs of your neighborhood, and your team’s particular strengths, to name a few. You’ll grow in your ability to discern Spirit-led goals, tasks, and steps that complement that context. And you’ll become more agile to adapt those goals, tasks, and steps in real-time.

Learning Outcomes

  • Identify the unique leadership dynamics of each of the five seasons of a church plant
  • Develop a holistic picture of the people group God is calling you to serve, and clarify the mission, vision, and values statements of your church based on that information
  • Develop a plan to use adaptive leadership in pivoting the church plant's strategy based on your context
  • Select a church planting model that fits the mission, vision, values, and cultural context of your church plant, and acquire the funds to start the church
